Marjan's Resume

Hi, I’m Marjan Afshar.

I was born in Northern California, where my early years were shaped by open landscapes, farms, animals, and the grounding rhythm of nature. That environment fostered a deep appreciation for holistic living — a life aligned with the earth, simplicity, and the healing power of natural elements. I am also deeply rooted in my Persian heritage, where ancient medicinal foods, spices, and healing rituals were a way of life — saffron, rose, turmeric, cardamom, pomegranate, breath, beauty, and reverence for nature. These ancestral practices have always lived in me.

Later, I moved to Southern California, where the culture centered on longevity, beauty, vitality, and the art of preserving youth. The fusion of these influences — ancient Persian wisdom and modern integrative wellness — became the foundation of who I am and how I serve.

From a young age, I felt a calling to help people feel like the best version of themselves. In my early teens, I discovered the profound benefits of food as medicine — the way nutrition could calm, energize, and truly transform the body and mind. My path was forever changed when my sister was diagnosed with brain cancer. Losing her at just 16 years old gave me a spiritual awakening — a deep understanding that life can change in a moment, and that every day is a gift. Gratitude became my compass.

Since then, I have devoted myself to living — and teaching — a well-balanced, intentional lifestyle. One that honors nourishment, meditation, yoga, restorative sleep, mindful movement, moderate living, and above all, a deep love for nature. The sun, the trees, the ocean, and clean, vibrant foods have always been my medicine. Nature and nutrition are my yin and yang — the energetic balance that centers and elevates me.

I studied nutrition, dietetics, food science, and integrative wellness in college, and later worked in autism support and oncology. After getting married and starting a family, I began offering private consulting while continuously evolving my knowledge through over two decades of self-education, intuitive practice, and serving friends, family, and private clients.

Today, my work is a fusion of science, intuition, ancestral tradition, and soul — guiding others to find harmony, vitality, and true nourishment from the inside out.
